Protecting Your Email Address

Like many people I have multiple email addresses.  I use one primarily for friends and family, another for professional communications, and then one for my Internet activities like shopping.  But, there are several occasions when I want to cash in on some promotional deal (or coupon) or want to just try out some web site, but I am required to register and provide my email address.  In these cases, I really hate giving out even my 'shopping' address for fear that I will end up on a multitude of spam lists.

Well, I found a site that will create temporary email addresses that can be used for all of those one time registrations.  Unlike some other disposable email address services, each email is truly active and lasts for 10 minutes.  Messages sent to this address sit on a website so you can read them, click on any needed links, and even reply from the address. This comes in handy if you have to wait for a validation message before activating an account.  And if you need a few more minutes, you have the option of requesting more time. Check it out: 10minutemail.  BTW: You don't have to register or provide your real email address to use this service!
